A rat in a bathrobe. A pirate with wings. A hat that looks like a terrible financial decision. FAT RAT WIF HAT begins with characters you can recognize before you read a single word about the project.
We are an art-focused collection of 1,111 winged rats created for Arc: 1,101 generative pieces and 10 one-of-one artworks. We are targeting September 16, 2026, the first day of Arc public mainnet, for our launch.
The art comes first.
Our references come from the internet we actually live in: meme animals, gaming nostalgia, strange fashion, cursed objects, late-night screenshots and the wonderfully unreasonable confidence of putting a hat on something.
That mix gives the collection its visual language. Familiar details land in unfamiliar places. Wings turn an ordinary rat into an unlikely hero. Clothes suggest a past life. A background becomes the beginning of a story. The joke gets you to look; the character gives you something to keep looking at.
We want people to find a rat that feels like them, give it a name and make it their own character in the timeline.
Why Arc, from day one?
A new network starts with infrastructure. Its personality grows through the people who show up, the images they use and the jokes they repeat. We want to be there while that culture is taking shape.
Arc has announced public mainnet for September 16, 2026. OpenSea has also announced support for Arc from day one. That gives the art a network to live on and collectors a familiar marketplace to explore. Our official collection link will be shared once it exists.
FAT RAT WIF HAT is an independent art project. Support for Arc on OpenSea does not mean either organization sponsors or endorses our collection.
Every rat wants a piece.
CHEESE is the shared obsession of this little world. It is the thing the rats chase, the punchline that travels between characters and the name of our planned community token: $CHEESE.
Our launch plan includes a day-one $CHEESE airdrop to all FAT RAT WIF HAT NFT holders. We will publish the snapshot timing, allocation and distribution method before mint, so everyone can see exactly how the holder drop is intended to work.
The token and distribution are still in development. There is no live token or claim today. Community art drops, character experiments and votes on future creative directions are uses we want to explore as we build.
Give the rats a life outside the gallery.
The collection is a starting point. We want Hat Check posts where you name the character, short stories about a rat taking the wrong turn on Arc, and community memes that give the art a life of its own.
You do not need to understand every reference to join in. Pick a rat. Invent its terrible job. Explain why it needs wings to get to the corner shop. That is how a shared world starts: one person adds a detail, and somebody else runs with it.

If you want to join the early roll call, reply to our launch post with your public 0x wallet address and the rat you would bring to Arc. A reply is an expression of interest, not a confirmed whitelist place or a token allocation.
